- ½ cup white sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon butter
Preparation method:
In a medium saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until you see bubbles forming at the edges. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix together the sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
Gradually add the sugar, cornstarch, and salt mixture to the hot milk, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon.
