Blackberry and apple bread pudding

Blackberry Apple Bread Pudding Ingredients:

  • 0.5 of a 17.3-ounce package Pepperidge Farm® Puff Pastry Sheets (1 sheet), thawed
  • 1 package (about 3 ounces) instant vanilla pudding and pie filling mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1.5 cups sweetened whipped cream or thawed frozen whipped topping
  • 1.25 cups sliced strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar

Preparation method:

First, preheat the oven to 400 °F.

Then, on a lightly floured surface, roll out the sheet of dough. Divide it into 3 strips along the crease marks, then cut each strip into 4 rectangles. Place the dough rectangles on a baking sheet.

Then bake for approximately 15 minutes, or until the pastries are golden. Now let them cool in the pan placed on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Divide each dough into 2 layers, resulting in a total of 24 layers.

Follow package directions for pudding mix, using 1 cup of milk. Once prepared, gently fold in the whipped cream.

Then we will separate 8 layers of top dough. Spread 2 tablespoons of the pudding mix on each of the bottom 8 layers of dough. Place 1 tablespoon of strawberries on top of each layer, then add another layer of batter on top.

Finally, repeat this process with the remaining pudding mixture, strawberries, and reserved top layers of batter. Finally, sprinkle the assembled pastries with icing sugar.
