Blueberry Dump Cake Ingredients:
- 2 (about 21-ounce) cans blueberry pie filling
- 1 1/2 sticks (6 ounces) cold unsalted butter, plus more for the baking dish
- 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries (about 10 ounces, do not thaw)
- 1 (15.25-ounce) box yellow, white, or lemon cake mix
- Vanilla ice cream, for serving (optional)
Preparation method:
First, in the middle of the oven, arrange a rack and heat the oven to 350 °F. Then lightly coat a 9×13-inch baking dish with unsalted butter.
Then, onto the baking sheet, place the following in the following order (do not stir): First, spread out 2 (about 21 oz.) cans of blueberry pie filling in an even layer. Then sprinkle evenly with 1 (15.25 oz.) box of yellow, white, or lemon cake mix. Thinly slice 1 1/2 sticks of unsalted butter and arrange over cake mix in an even layer, covering entire surface.
