Butter Pancakes Ingredients:

  • 3 cups wheat flour
  • 3 spoons of white sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons of baking soda
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups of butter
  • ½ cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • ⅓ cup butter, melted

Preparation method:

First mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large bowl. After that whisk the buttermilk, milk, eggs and melted butter in a separate bowl. After that keep the two mixtures separate until ready to cook.

Now heat a lightly oiled griddle or skillet over medium-high heat. Then you can splash water on the surface, and if it forms drops and hisses, it’s ready.

After that, pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture; use a wooden spoon or fork to mix until just blended. This dough will be a little lumpy, which is what you want.

After that pour or spoon the batter onto the preheated griddle, using approximately 1/2 cup for each pancake. Finally cook until bubbles appear on the surface, 1 to 2 minutes; turn with a spatula and cook until browned on the other side. Repeat with the remaining dough.
