  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg or to taste
  • 2 sliced ​​loaves of white bread, toasted
  • 2 cinnamon sticks

Method of preparation:

First preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

After that combine water, 2 cups of brown sugar and cinnamon sticks in a pan; bring to a boil. After that, reduce the heat and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and the liquid reduces to a syrup, about 15 minutes. Then remove the cinnamon sticks from the syrup using a slotted spoon.

After that spread butter on each slice of toasted bread. After that make 1 layer of bread with butter in a deep casserole or in a pan that can go into the oven. After that sprinkle cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves over the bread layer.
