Chocolate Sourdough Cake Ingredients:

• ⅔ cup shortening
• 1 ⅔ cups white sugar
• ¾ teaspoon baking soda
• ½ teaspoon baking powder
• 1 teaspoon salt
• ¾ cup cold water
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 3 eggs
• 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
• ⅔ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1 cup sourdough starter

Preparation method:

We’ll start with the oven preheated to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Now Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch cake tin.

Then, sift the cocoa, flour, baking powder, bicarbonate and salt.

Then in a large bowl, fat cream, sugar and eggs together. Let’s mix the yeast starter. Slowly add flour mixture to cream mixture, beating until smooth. Now add the vanilla and water, mix well. Then, place the dough in the pre-prepared baking dish.

Finally, bake well in the preheated oven, the point and when you insert a toothpick in the center it comes out clean, approximately 35 minutes.
