pound cake Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 C Butter, softened
  • 1 t Vanilla Extract
  • 2 t Almond (or Lemon) Extract
  • 3 C All-purpose Flour
  • 3 C Sugar
  • 5 Eggs
  • 1 C Sprite, 7-UP, Or Sierra Mist

Preparation method:

We’ll preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Then we’ll beat the butter, add the sugar, 1 cup at a time, beating for about a minute before adding it, and always scraping down the sides of the bowl after each addition.

Then, when you’ve added all the sugar, beat for about 4 minutes. Now add the eggs, one at a time, mixing after each addition. Add the extracts and mix well.
