Lemon Alfredo Sauce Ingredients:
- ½ teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1 pinch ground nutmeg
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
- 1 medium lemon, zested and juiced
- ⅓ cup grated Pecorino Romano cheese
- ⅓ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Preparation method:
First start by melting the butter in a 10-inch skillet over medium heat. After that when the butter is frothy, put in the garlic, pepper, salt and nutmeg. After that cook and stir until the garlic is fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Then gradually beat the cream, stirring constantly, to incorporate the cream into the butter. After that, drizzle with the lemon juice and then add the lemon zest, stirring constantly. Then continue stirring until the sauce coats the back of a spoon, 3 to 5 minutes.
After that, remove from the heat and stir in the grated pecorino romano and parmesan cheese. Finally taste and fix the seasoning. After that serve decorated with parsley.
