Manicotti recipe Ingredients:

  • 5 ½ ounces manicotti pasta
  • 1 pint part-skim ricotta cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 (16 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 2 large eggs

Preparation method:

First, cook the manicotti in boiling water until al dente, approximately 10 to 12 minutes, drain and rinse under cold water.

Then we will leave the already preheated oven at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Next, in a large bowl, mix together the ricotta, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, mozzarella, parsley, eggs, salt and pepper until well combined.

Then, in a 11×17-inch baking dish, pour 1/2 cup of spaghetti sauce. Now we will stuff each manicotti shell with 3 tablespoons of cheese mixture and arrange it over the sauce.

Then on top of the shells we will pour the remaining sauce and sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan cheese.
