Slow cooked lasagna Ingredients:

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 16 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 12 ounces cottage cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 (29 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 (12 ounce) package lasagna noodles

Preparation method:

First, in a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion and garlic over medium heat until the beef is browned. Then add the tomato paste, tomato sauce, salt and oregano and stir leaving well mixed and heated through.

Then in a large bowl mix the cottage cheese, mozzarella and Parmesan.

Then in the bottom of a slow stove place a layer of the meat mixture. Place a double layer of uncooked lasagna noodles, breaking the noodles to fit the pot as needed. Now, with a portion of the cheese mixture, cover the noodles. We will repeat the layering of sauce, noodles and cheese until you have used all the ingredients.

Finally, we will cover and let it cook on low heat for about 4 to 6 hours.
