Flourless chocolate cake Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 18 (1 ounce) squares bittersweet chocolate
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 6 eggs

Preparation method:

We’ll start with the oven preheated to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Let’s grease a 10-inch round cake pan; set aside.

Then, in a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the water, sugar and salt. Now keep stirring until it dissolves completely, then set aside.

Then, in a microwaveable glass or ceramic bowl, melt the bittersweet chocolate in 15 second intervals, stirring after each interval, about 1 to 3 minutes. Then in the bowl of the mixer pour the chocolate.

Next, cut the butter into pieces, beat the butter, one piece at a time, into the chocolate until well blended. Now, beat in hot water with sugar. Beat the eggs slowly, one at a time.

After in the prepared pan put the dough. Prepare a pan larger than the selected cake pan. Place the roasting pan inside the larger pan and fill the larger pan with boiling water until it reaches approximately half the height of the sides of the pan.

Then put in a preheated oven and bake the cake in a water bath for 45 minutes. It’s normal for the center of the cake to still feel moist at this stage. After the baking time, remove the cake from the oven and place it in the fridge to cool completely, for a period of 8 hours overnight.

Finally, dip the bottom of the mold in hot water for about 10 seconds to unmold, now turn it over on a serving plate.
