Grilled Tilapia in the Pan Ingredients:
- 4 (4 ounce) tilapia fillets
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice, or to taste (Optional)
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley, or to taste (Optional)
- ½ teaspoon chopped fresh thyme, or to taste (Optional)
Preparation method:
We will start, in cold water, wash the tilapia fillets and dry with a paper towel. Then season with salt and pepper, both sides of each filet.
Then, place the flour in a shallow dish. Then gently press each fillet into the flour to coat, and shake off any excess.
Then, in a large skillet over medium-high heat, we are going to heat the oil. Now in the hot oil we will cook the tilapia fillets, in batches if necessary, until the fish flakes easily with a fork, approximately 4 minutes on each side.
Soon after, at the last minute before removing them from the skillet, we will brush the melted butter on the tilapia fillets.
Finish watering the fillets with lemon juice and garnish with thyme and parsley.
