Meatball Sandwiches Ingredients:

  • (12 portions)
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 1/2 cup grated mozzarella
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 4 teaspoons Italian seasoning perfect, divided
  • 3 teaspoons divided garlic powder
  • 1 pack (12 ounces) refrigerated chicken meatballs, cut in half
  • 1 package sweet dinner coil from Hawaii, (12 roll)

Preparation method:

We will start, with the oven preheated to 350 degrees F. Then in a large bowl, mix the tomato sauce with 3 teaspoons of Italian seasoning and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, place the meatballs and stir to coat them in the sauce mixture. Set aside.

Next, remove the bread rolls from the package, but do not separate them, cut a whole package of bread rolls in half horizontally, leaving the bottom half slightly thicker than the top half. Place the bottom half of the loaves in a 13 × 9-inch baking dish, with the cut side facing up. Place a layer of provolone cheese on the bottom half of the loaves. Then, on top of the sauce, place the meatballs. Sprinkle the meatballs with mozzarella cheese. Place the top half of the rolls, cut side down, on top of the mozzarella.

Finally mix the butter with the remaining seasoning. Using a brush, brush the top of the rolls with the butter mixture, cover with aluminum foil.

Finish baking for 25 to 30 minutes, or until hot.
